Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the owners of the site. WorkSwarm uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") on workswarm.ai and app.workswarm.ai.

2. How We Use Cookies

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of the Service. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, and session management. You cannot opt out of these cookies.

Session cookie — maintains your authenticated session after login. Expires when you close your browser or after 24 hours of inactivity.
CSRF token — protects against cross-site request forgery attacks. Session-scoped.
Tenant context — stores your active workspace slug so multi-tenant routing works correctly. Session-scoped.

Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation.

Theme preference — remembers your light/dark mode selection. Persistent, 1 year.
Sidebar state — remembers your sidebar collapsed/expanded preference. Persistent, 1 year.
Language preference — stores your selected language if you change the default. Persistent, 1 year.

Analytics and Advertising Measurement Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Service, and whether our own advertising brings the right people to it. Everything in this section runs on our public marketing site (workswarm.ai), never inside the signed-in app. The two Google tags below also run on the sign-in and sign-up pages of app.workswarm.ai. There, the page address we report to Google keeps campaign parameters only and the referrer is reduced to its site when it comes from our own pages, so the workspace, referral and single-sign-on identifiers those addresses can carry are not reported, and both tags are switched off before you are taken into the signed-in app.

Plausible Analytics — privacy-first, cookieless analytics. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. No consent required. See Plausible's data policy.
Snitcher: business-to-business visitor analytics that may identify the organization visiting our public marketing site, so we can understand interest and improve our outreach. Snitcher persists a visitor identifier across sessions only after you accept cookies via our banner; if you decline, it records anonymous visits only. It runs on our marketing site only, never inside the signed-in app. See Snitcher's privacy policy.
Google Analytics 4: site-traffic measurement. Until you make a choice in our banner it runs with all storage switched off under Google Consent Mode and receives cookieless page counts only. After you accept it may set the _ga cookies (persistent, up to 2 years) to recognise a returning browser. If you decline, we do not load it on later visits, and it stops measuring the page you declined on. See Google's privacy policy.
Google Ads conversion measurement: tells us whether visitors who arrive from our own advertising go on to sign up. We do not configure the advertising tag until you accept the banner, and even then advertising storage stays switched off: it sets no advertising cookie, builds no profile of you and personalises no ads. Google receives a cookieless conversion count only. If you decline, we never configure it. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

WorkSwarm does not use the Facebook Pixel or any advertising tracker beyond the consent-gated Google Ads conversion measurement described above, and we do not serve ads on the Service.

Third-Party Cookies

Aside from the consent-gated Snitcher and Google Analytics cookies described under Analytics and Advertising Measurement Cookies above, WorkSwarm does not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. However, if you use an OAuth provider (Google, Microsoft) to sign in, that provider may set its own cookies during the authentication flow. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own cookie policy.

3. Managing Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

Block all cookies — this will prevent you from using the Service, as session cookies are required for authentication.
Delete cookies — you can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. This will sign you out of the Service.
Block third-party cookies — this will not affect the core Service, since we do not rely on third-party cookies.

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies remain on your device for the duration specified above or until you delete them.
